Khubiz, the traditional Bahraini flatbread, is a staple food item in households. The memories associated with getting fresh bread, piping hot, and tearing into it is a core childhood memory for most Bahrainis. The bubbles in the surface of the stone-cooked bread is a distinctive shape, and the curls around the edge of the bread are iconic when piled high. Here, it has been reimagined into a pendant, with a long bale.
